A lifelong Angeleno, David Terk lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, two daughters, and an ever-entertaining household of pets. From the beginning of his career, David knew he wanted to do work that would meaningfully change people’s lives. That purpose came into focus when he met Bart Stevens and was introduced to the world of Special Needs Planning. Seeing firsthand how thoughtful planning could secure a family’s future, David recognized he had found his calling.
Today, through Serenitas Special Needs Planning, David helps families maximize and protect the benefits they’re entitled to while building stability and security for the years ahead. Known for his clarity, empathy, and technical expertise, he is a sought-after speaker on the financial, legal, and lifestyle issues that shape the lives of people with special needs.
David remains active in the community, volunteering with the Special Needs Planning Institute (SNPInst.org) and his daughters’ schools. When not meeting with families, he enjoys cooking, gardening, playing guitar, and spending time with his family. He holds a B.A. from Tulane University and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, and is licensed in life and health insurance, as well as Series 7 and 66 securities.
